Strategic Plan

In early 2009, Grand Rapids Rotary leadership established a task force to research and compose a strategic plan intended to plot the vision for the club over the next five years. In addition to considerable discussion among members of the task force, the development of the strategic plan included a survey of the current club membership to determine demographics, opinions regarding how the club operates and its vision for the future. The following is a summary of our results:

• Humanitarian Service

  - Engagement in local and global opportunities to serve the needs of youth and disadvantaged individuals in these communities.
  

• Community

  - Elevate the public perception of Rotary in the eyes of the Grand Rapids community.

• Membership

  - Increase the number of visionary and engaged members.

• Communication

  - Ensure that all members have accurate information regarding Club vision, expectations, activities and opportunities for involvement.

• Programming

  - Develop a more contemporary, relevant and dynamic experience in the weekly meetings.

• Financial

  - Ensure the financial stability and integrity of the club through strategic budget planning.
